Due to continued organizational growth we are currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This position is to be based in our Markham or Winnipeg location.

Purpose of the Position

• Product Vision and Strategy – You’ll be actively involved in helping define the product line vision and strategy for your assigned product/service(s). The job requires experience in understanding market needs, Voice of Customer, with a preference in HR and Payroll Services. You will manage market needs, manage internal stakeholder requirements and define/recommend and execute on innovative, financially successful solutions for the broader market.

• Product Creation – Responsible for leading the development for your product line from a business/product management perspective. You will own the overall requirements process (defining, prioritizing, documenting product requirements, go-to-market plans, competitive differentiation, target customer segments, business case development, and forecasting) for product enhancements and product variations. You will liase with other Business Units to align strategy and tactical execution of it. You have the ability to think big-picture, but also have an ability to deep dive into the detail as required. Assess the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes and make recommendations.

• Product Marketing – You will work with Marketing in all aspects of product marketing including messaging, packaging and launch of all the products in the product line. You will provide direction and work with with segment marketing teams in creating successful marketing and lead gen programs.

• Product Life-Cycle - You will be developing and managing products over their life cycle and developing phase in phase out strategies, you will lead the strategy and work with cross-functional teams in product transitions.

• Product Financials – You will be accountable for supporting achievement of financial goals of your product line, specifically in the achievement of SOV and revenue goals.

The Ideal Candidate

• A enjoy managing products and services and delighting customers.

• Minimum 5 years experience in product management, product introduction processes.
• A proven history of bringing products/services to market and managing products through their product life-cycle (including product retirement strategies and execution of same).
• Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams in business requirements, usability, documentation, implementation, customer care and other operational teams.
• A strong product management background in human resources or payroll industry is desirable; application of Pragmatic Marketing framework.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High performing individual who has an urgency for business.
• Influence, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
• Honesty & integrity, high performer, customer driven and performance excellence are what you live by.
• Blend of big-picture business saavy and tactical execution; understand and executed on 4 Ps.
• Ability to create strategies and also roll up your sleeve on the details.
• Sound financial sense.
• BS/BA required.
