Job Description
- Define product requirements to meet the needs of the target market and channels.
- Create and maintain detailed product roadmap.
- Work with a cross-functional team to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery against Roadmap
- Demonstrate detailed understanding of the market within which the product(s) address, including business needs, industry trends, competitive positioning, etc.
- Assist with the evolution and enforcement of the product management process (stage gates).
- Ongoing Market assessment and Competitive analysis and reporting
- Establish and measure profit and loss by product/channel, create unit and revenue projections
- Work with Product Marketing to generate and maintain the following collateral for each product and/or component: product presentations, datasheets, what’s new, product price-book and whitepapers (on demand)
- Review and approve all product related documentation created by any department including; user guides, training collateral, functional specifications, architecture documents, and marketing collateral
- Communicate and educate detailed product differentiation, direction and functionality to internal and external audiences.
- Actively contribute to overall product strategy
- Experience in using productivity tools such as MS Office & CRM
We expect that in this role you will have
- 3-5 years experience in software Product Management, preferably related to server-based software and/or the content management industry.
- Industry experience in life sciences/pharma, manufacturing, legal, financial services and/or government an asset.
- Software development/technical background (up to date knowledge).
- Willingness to travel 6-12 times per year (spring/fall) to trade shows/partner events
