Position Summary
Trusera, a free invitation-only site for people who care about health, is looking for a Senior Product Manager. Join our team and become part of a groundbreaking online health and wellness resource.
As Senior Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements; defining the product vision; and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role also ensures that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals. You must have a passionate and in-depth knowledge about trends in online communities and what constitutes a great consumer experience; and you can tell when Web 2.0 is practical and when it's mere hype.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership and overall holistic view of the Trusera product Define strategy, research requirements, guide the engineering team, and deliver solutions
- Run beta with early-stage products and samples Be an expert with respect to the competition and marketplace trends
- Act as a leader within the company; evangelize solutions to key stakeholders and engineers to drive adoption
- Support marketing and communications as the subject matter and product expert
Qualifications
- 5 years min. experience as a Product Manager for a Web-based product with high amount of consumer-facing features
- Experience with web-based community (e.g., blogs, social networking, Web 2.0) Proven ability to influence and work with cross-functional teams—including design, development, QA, legal, finance, accounting, and executive—without formal authority
- Willingness to assist with special projects, such as presentations, analysis marketing events, and more, at all levels
- Previous technical background: specifically experience in Ruby on Rails and Open Source technology and SCRUM / AGILE environments Passion for health and wellness
- Previous UI or Information Architecture experience is a plus
