Hello,

As we begin 2007, Pragmatic Marketing is excited to announce several new initiatives.

First, and most obvious, is the new design of our newsletter. Please let us know what you think.

Coming soon is a major website update for Pragmatic Marketing. As we gather our market requirements for the new site, we welcome your suggestions on how to best serve the technology product management and marketing community. Please send us your comments, feedback and ideas.

Beginning in March, we will launch the Pragmatic Marketing Network. This new program will be held in several cities where we are presenting our product management seminars. In many cases, these events will be held in conjunction with the local Product Management Association.

In addition to the networking opportunity, these events will include a discussion, led by a Pragmatic Marketing instructor, on topics of interest to product managers and marketers. For the March and April events the topic is Where does Product Management belong in the organization? See details about our event in Raleigh, NC, below.

Look for more Pragmatic Marketing Network events in upcoming newsletters, and announcements about other new programs and activities in the coming months.

An analysis of gobbledygook in over 388,000 press releases sent in 2006. By David Meerman Scott

Oh jeez, not another flexible, scalable, groundbreaking, industry-standard, cutting-edge product from a market-leading, well positioned company! Ugh. I think I'm gonna puke! Just like with a teenager's use of annoying catch phrases, I notice the same words cropping up again and again in Web sites and news releases--so much so that the gobbledygook grates against my nerves and many other people's, too. Well, duh. Like, companies just totally don't communicate very well, you know?
