Difference Between a Product Manager and a Pure Marketing Manager?
I am trying to understand all the concept and differences between several marketing skills and I was wondering what is the difference between a Product Manager and a pure Marketing Manager?
I find titles to be terribly difficult. What you call a this I may call a that. My technique has been to discern the meaning of any title is to change "manager" to expert and see what results. A Marketing Manager would therefore be a Marketing Expert--and I don't know what that means. Some companies use Market Manager or Industry Manager.
Frankly, I've never been too enamored with the title Product Marketing Manager because it takes too long to write or say but it's probably what most marketing managers are: experts in marketing products.
