Visionary Product Manager
What are some of the traits and characteristics of a visionary product manager.
The key to being a visionary is to see what others cannot. So often, we are too close to the existing solution to see things in a new way.
For product managers, this means that we have to actively seek out non- customers and understand the problems that they are facing. It means further that we have to interview existing customers to see what problems remain after our product is installed.
A visionary product manager knows the market, the business, and the technology of the product. A good product manager is curious. A good product manager listens with his mouth closed and his eyes and ears open.
